When I was in Wisconsin in July, I got to spend a couple of afternoons sitting on the lawn with my boy, listening to live symphony music as the sun went down. Oh, I miss those days already!
Our first concert on the green was in Milwaukee, where we got to listen to an orchestra that featured Chuck's sister on the french horn and her fiance-now-husband on the trumpet. Before spreading our blankets on the lawn, we explored a nearby little town called Cedarburg, where we wandered through candy shops, had lunch at a lakeside restaurant ...

Admired Amish crafts ...

And went shopping for a good wine to enjoy at the concert.

We headed off to our spot on the lawn, and we watched people while the orchestra got ready to play.

We drank and drank the Pinot Grigio that we picked out ...

And ate and ate a delectable Pinot Grigio cheese spread that we bought to go along with it.

I looked more and more like a little bug as it got colder ...

And Chuck just looked like a mischievous little boy.

The symphony gave a lovely performance ...

A perfect day.
